Description
This is my 50th deviation, coming in just days after my one-year DA birthday!
Is there anyone else out there missing this couple? InuYasha was the first anime I ever got into, and I watched it to completion. It was also the first manga I read serially, eagerly anticipating it every Wednesday. I was sad when it came to an end after 558 chapters, but ecstatic to learn the anime would be continued!
When the animators caught up to the published chapters in 2004, they thankfully didn't give the series a contrived ending, but left off where the manga ran out. This meant that 5 years later, in an almost unheard of occurrence, they could go back and finish the story with a 26 episode run of the remaining chapters. Though the episodes of "InuYasha, The Final Act" felt very hurried, due to packing five years worth of content into a single season, it was still wonderful to see the characters again. InuYasha" is one of those rare stories where you fall in love with every character, even the baddies. InuYasha and Kagome will always be favorites of mine, since their romantic comedy lead me into a deep appreciation for anime and manga.
